Sooooo sorry you guys!
It was important to make sure the image Cadence was projecting was complete, down to the very smallest details. Physically she was Charles Xavier sans his wheelchair. There were the marks on her face that could not be hidden or gotten rid of without pain, but those were as easily explained away as the lack of the chair. It was the small things she worried about: mannerisms, relationships, memories he should have, where he got the slight Scottish accent she couldn't seem to get rid of. They were things she would have to deal with sooner rather than later, but there was a quiet hope that people would be so overjoyed to see their long lost Xavier that these things would go unnoticed for a little while.
After her meeting with June that morning, Cadence went back to fill Kurami and Georgie in. At last their chance had come. Did she see the flaw in her plan? Absolutely not. All she was was the opportunity to finally fit in somewhere again, to be loved and, most importantly, to be wanted. Kurami was being payed to follow her and assist when she was needed. Georgie hadn't really said much on the subject to date, but seemed okay to go along with it. So, both excited and nervous, Cadence left her hotel room one last time, no longer a young woman but an older English man, single suitcase in hand, and headed out for the agreed upon meeting place.
There were butterflies of nerves in her stomach by the time the bistro came into view. Sweet little June was sitting on the sidewalk waiting, and Kurimi was leaning against the fence. Where was Georgie? Xavier looked around casually, hoping to see the other girl. They could wait at least a few minutes for her to show up, but too long would not be a good idea. She pushed her worries aside and drew up a warm smile as she crossed the street. "Hello, June. I'm so glad you decided to help me." He glanced at Kurami, an odd twinkle in his eyes. "Have you met my friend, Kurami? Kurami, this is June. She has come to escort us to the mansion." Once more he glanced around. "Have you seen Georgie?"
