Unfortunately, none of this was new to Ororo. She'd spent the last two hours debriefing Laura and was well aware of what the young mutant was going to present. What she hadn't been expecting were the quick decisions to rush into battle. Especially from Scott. She looked over at her, expression blank, wondering if this wasn't too much too soon for him. So it was with a small about of pride in the girl that Ororo looked to kitty when the younger woman spoke up. When Logan added his support, Ororo nodded herself.
"Logan and Kitty are right. This isn't something we can rush into and be done with." She appreciated Logan's advice and tried to convey as much with her eyes. There had been so much distrust among all of them in the past few months and she knew his coming here wasn't an easy decisions. Especially given how she'd handled their phone conversation. It helped that people were volunteering, but it was going to take some thought and it was something she'd like to actually discuss with someone who'd been there long enough to know everyone's strengths and weaknesses. She looked at Kitty, remembering her request to be considered for a second until Hank came back. More and more the idea was warming to her.
Turning her attention to Laura, she asked, "What about their systems of defense and offense? Did you learn of any more possible attacks? Rough numbers?" She glanced at the map. "There are obviously a lot of bases here but we need to determined how many of them are active and which ones pose the greatest threats." They needed to get in there deeper, to learn as much more as they possibly could. But Laura was a young girl and the thought of sending her in again did not sit well with Ororo. She knew the girl had enhances reflexes and senses, but that didn't make her invincible.
"If they're still working toward a patent, Rogue, it's going to be some time before it's presented to the public. They'll still have to go through the FDA before it's even approved for anyone. I think you'd be best in one of the other scouting teams. If it gets as far as the pill being released, " and she prayed that it wouldn't, "then we'll rethink where people are. Warren, I want all the information you can give me on Morganstein. Everything from where he went to school to where he lives. I would like you to stay here and continue your work on the security systems. You know the drills to run with the children."
What needed to be determined was the window of time they were working with. Once more her attention went to Laura. "What else can you tell us? How close are they to getting a patent and when do they have another attack planned?"
