It waas by sheer happenstance that Paige was passing by the sitting room and heard Kitty. Immediately, the blond went into worried mode, entering the room and settling next to the brunette. She didn't know what was going on, but she was going to find out, whether the tears were sad tears or happy tears, Paige just didn't like to see her friends cry for any reason at all. And Kitty was definitely what Paige would consider a best friend. On top of that, she was definitely one to look out for her when Paige was the one feeling down, even though between the two of them, Paige usually took out her issues in the training room more often than not. But that was niether here nor there.
Settling down on the couch next to her, Paige reached out to settle a hand on the center of her back. "Kitty? What's wrong, sugar?" It was often during these times that her southern accent came out to play mostly, because she was so used to dealing with her younger siblings. It was just something that had never changed. She may hide it in everyday fashion, but when it came to helping someone or comforting them, that accent always came back because it seemed to work better. And for Kitty, well, Paige would do a lot.
