He absolutely was driving her crazy but she couldn't figure out how to say what she wanted to say and have it make sense at the same time. That was the problem with so many words coming to mind. Piecing them together was hard. "Warren, I don't know what to say." Literally. Did he get that? She really could not figure it out. Kitty dropped her purse into a chair and unbuttoned her light jacket, cheeks burning when she finally registered his whistle and compliment. How did he do that? She never thought about him as more than a friend, a brother type, but he always managed to make her blush and feel just a little nervous.
As she took her coat completely off, she blew a puff of air between her lips and tried to focus on words. "So this man, Mr. Taylor? He was so nice and treated me like I was a top buyer in a prime retail area." She sat down on the couch beside Warren, hands coming together in her lap to stop them from shaking. "He told me someone had bought it recently and was looking to gut and rebuild to try and turn a profit over the long run. Like a rent to own kind of deal."
As just a store, the building wasn't very big at all. But there was the back room, a basement, and an upstairs that had been used for offices and storage. If it was done properly, Kitty would have enough room for three good sized studios, bathrooms and changing areas, and her own office. She could see what she'd always envisioned her own place looking like, but with all the damage it was hard to see it in that particular building. Still, she had a feeling it was being offered to her. "When did you buy it?"
