June giggled as she took another bite of her snack. She'd seen many pictures of Xavier with some of his former students, some of them hanging in expensive looking frames around the mansion. It was true that he was always the oldest looking on in the picture. When he mentioned Bobby, June nodded and looked at the ice shards that were already melting on the ground. "Yeah, he was helping me and working with me until he had to go home for awhile." She missed Bobby simply because he was her favorite teacher. And she might have had a small crush on him. Possibly because he was the only male she really trusted. "I hope he comes back soon. Math class really isn't as fun with a substitute."
Despite her instantly warming up to him, June froze when Xavier touched her arm. It was pure habit, as was the panic that flooded her senses just for a quick second. She was learning how to talk herself down and mentally told herself that she was okay. She was safe with Charles Xavier. he would never hurt her. By the time he sat back again she was breathing closer to normal and the lump in her throat was nearly gone. She nodded, trying to speak in an even tone. "They take real good care of me." Especially Kitty and, lately, Paige.
"You're afraid?" The surprise was more than evident on her face at this revelation. Why would the greatest mutant in history be afraid of the people who loved him so much? Even without his powers, they would just know it was him. How could they not? "Like Mystique," she said softly. She knew about the blue mutant and her amazing shape-shifting ability. And if he really was Mystique, would she draw attention to herself that that? June highly doubted it. She smiled warmly at Xavier. "Maybe you should come home with me. I'll make them believe it's you. They'll really be so happy to see you."
