"Nightmare?" He knew a thing or two about those. From the state she was in he didn't doubt it for a moment. Logan shifted and moved up the bed ti sit beside her over the covers, no sense in making her nervous, even though her skin didn't bother him. "Wanna tell me about it?" He folded his arms over his chest. "You didn't, just got home a little bit ago, was havin' a smoke out on the fire escape."
He knew he should be getting the hell out of that room with the route his thoughts had been taking lately. But this was still Marie and he couldn't fathom the thought of leaving her alone when something was clearly bothering her. "Not one of mine was it?" He worried that maybe she still had some of his residual thoughts lingering around her head. They shared a lot, but he didn't want that particular link between them. His nightmares shouldn't be a burden on anyone else.
When she said that his brow cocked and he tilted his head. Then she began in on her little tale and a smile slightly curled at the corners of his mouth. "Wondered why my shirt smelled like you." He chuckled slightly. "Even though you were just a kid back then, I think Jean was a little jealous of ya. Because of the bond between us." Which made no sense to him considering all she did was string him along. She never would of left Scott for him and he knew that. Logan just made her feel like she was taking that forbidden walk on the wild side by entertaining his attraction towards her.
Well, if Marie wasn't in the most sharing of moods tonight. He just cocked his head and watched her as she spoke. "You wear 'em just ta piss him off and make him jealous?" Some girls liked a man to get jealous, made them feel more desirable. Logan liked the thought of her wearing those tags while with that boy, it was like his territory was marked without him even being there.
"Don't wanna ignore ya. Wouldn't hurt for ya ta open up more like this. Sometimes I can't figure you out Marie. It's nice to have some insight for a change. I can't read minds ya know."
