When she touched him, he was slightly uncomfortable. Lucky for him, it was soon over and she was telling him everything was a good as expected. She was right about hiding, but it was easier at the moment than facing anything he had trapped inside. As he leaned forward and slumped off the table, he stood there as she added a second thought.
She seemed to be pushy about him taking over the adult team. Looking to her, he wondered why she was so passionate about the idea. Storm seemed to be doing fine, but he had only been here two days. Walking across the lab, he huffed a laugh as he spoke. "I'll think about it, Emma. But right now I am fine where I am." He grinned as he approached the door.
The oddest thing was, he was thinking about it before she mentioned it. Not obsessing over it, as he tended to do...but simply thinking about it. It was almost like it came out of nowhere. As he reached the door, he looked back to her.
"Thanks for the help, Emma. If you ever need anything, I owe you one." With that, he stepped forward as the door slid open with a air brake sound. Taking a left he began to walk towards the elevators. Oddly, he was thinking about scheduling a meeting with Ororo.
