He was almost to the door when he heard her speak. Turning, he waited to hear her idea before taking off. So she could rearrange the way his mind remembered things? It was similar to what he wanted, but not permanent brain damage. The old Scott believe everything that happened made a man who he was. The new Scott had been through a lot, and was holding it together. Things were different, but he would manage. He always did.
As she asked his plans, he shrugged as if a child. He honestly wasn't sure how to answer. "I don't know. I got back here, and talked with Ororo. She told me what is going on with the cure. But I needed to get my head on straight before I do much else." He huffed out a smile, as he tried to think of a more accurate answer to her question. Did he know what he wanted to do? Was there an actual plan? It was hard to tell.
"I guess the long term plan is to get this place in order. Figure out who is still here, who has changed, what threats are there to the house? Someone attacked the place, Emma. And from what I understand no one knows who. In my day, that normally required a brain scan. Nothing in detail, but a brief glimpse." He looked at their feet, then back up to her. "But maybe no one here is in question. I just know with Magneto and a lot of new people being here...and then the house blows up? Maybe I am being paranoid. And this is why I need to get my head right before I try to do anything to help anyone."
