Who: Cadence OT Kurami, Georgianna
What: Discussing Xavier's
When: 9pm
Where: Walking around downtown
Rating: TBD

Cadence felt like a woman newly freed every time she took a walk in the city at night. It had been almost six months since she and Winter escaped from that cursed amusement park, but it made every lungful of fresh air mean something. She'd been beaten there, violated, tortured, brought to the very brink of death. Most days she wished she died there, underground in those rotting, stinking alleys and pathways. That was until she had a plan. It wasn't something she'd come up with on her own. No, Cadence wasn't smart enough for plotting anymore. They'd beaten most of the common sense out of her. She was still crazy intelligent with an eidetic memory, but common sense was a thing of the past.

She saw the news reports about the attack on Xavier's and poked around online to learn more about the school. She found out more than she could have hoped and her curiosity turned into a hobby. There was information on staff and teachers both past and present, student names and information. There were articles and interviews dating back to the 70's when Xavier first turned the mansion into a school. He was part of a long lineage that owned the property and was a man greatly loved. Her hobby turned into an obsession with Xavier before she knew it. Soon she was daydreaming about being him. Not long after that, a plan formulated in her brain.

She could be Charles Xavier. She could mimic his voice perfectly, save that undertone of Highland accent she couldn't seem to get rid of. Physically she could shift into the very likeness of Charles without much difference. There were the tattoos on the side of her face but those could be explained away easily enough. This could actually work if she had someone to go with her, someone on her side.

Enter one jewelry store thief.

Kurami would have gotten away with it if Cadence hadn't been shifted into a stray tabby cat and sitting directly across the street. She followed the woman and revealed herself as Kurami's exact duplicate. All she needed was a moment to explain who she was and what she wanted. Kurami's services were offered surprisingly easy, though not without a cost. So Cadence bought herself a friend and final preparations began.

Now, looking very much like a living anime girl with blonde pigtails, green eyes, and a short skirt, she walked down the streets downtown with her bought friend as they discussed the last few details. It would be soon that they would head for Xavier's. Very soon.

"Why do you do what you do?" She looked up at the older woman, shorter than her by just a few inches. Though Kurami was only with her because she was being paid to be, Cadence was making an effort to try and get to know the woman. It would be nice to not feel completely alone. "What made you start?"

Of course things would go to hell tonight. That was the only thought that ran through Georgie's mind when she found herself surrounded by four boys in the alley she'd taken as a shortcut home. Or, well, to the place she was calling home at the moment. It had a roof and she slept on the floor, but it was better than dealing with idiots like this on a nightly basis. She knew she shouldn't have gone this way, but she wanted to get home quick. A lot of good that waas doing her now.

The four of them were snickering. And they needed a bath, badly. Smelling the one just to the right and behind her, Georgianna's nose wrinkled up. "You really should let me go. If you don't, I can promise you that you'll be in a lot of pain." It was the only warning they were going to get. Georgie couldn't street fight against these four. They were bigger than her. Stronger. But she had something they didn't. She had control over their blood... she hoped. Hopefully none of them shared her own blood type. Damn A-. It got her every freaking time.

Except today, as the boys snickered and toyed with her more, she seemed to luck out. She didn't bother with another warning. She just gripped Eva's pacifier and let her power run through her. She'd focus on one or two at a time and hope the others ran off out of fear or cowardice. Or both. It was a risk, but it was one she had to take... because as her eyes began to swirl with barely there red whisps, the boy in front of her began to shiver. This first one... he was experiencing one facet of her nifty little gift. In his veins, his blood was beginning to get colder until it froze in his veins. But she only secured it to one arm as best she could. It would cripple him for now.

The second one got it worse. He got the temperature turned up until it was stifling. The sweat pouring out of his pores told her that her gift was working just like she wanted it. It would only be a matter of time now... Maybe she would have been okay if this had been a movie and they all rushed her one at a time. Instead, this was real life and the third and fourth guys slammed her from behind hard.

"I like to know a lot of information," was Cadence's reply to the stiff statement. If Kurami was irritated with her in any way it went well over her head. She liked listening to the older woman talk, liked her accent. It was more than likely Cadence would have been able to speak to her in her first language, but she decided to save that little nugget of information for later. When they would need to speak in private when they were out in public, or quietly when there was a chance of eavesdroppers. For now, she would speak in English and let Kurami do the same.

When the arm dropped around her shoulder, Cadence smiled to herself. Maybe this wouldn't be just a hired thing after all. Maybe she could get Kurami to warm up to her. She always believed she was the type of person everyone would love if they just got to know her. Really, she wasn't so bad. "You're over 400 years old?" The question wasn't quite as disbelieving as it probably should have been. During her time underground, Cadence had met many different mutants with a vast array of abilities. When it came down to it, a long life wasn't so hard to swallow. "Do you enjoy killing?" For a second she wasn't sure if she wanted the answer.

As Kurami's attention was pulled elsewhere, Cadence followed with her gaze. She stopped walking and tilted her head like a curious animal, listening. "Something is happening."

It wasn't like she liked to fight, in fact Cadence wasn't all that thrilled to be in combat with anyone with the end result being death. She loved training and was always pulled in by the physicality of it. For that reason alone, she didn't hesitate to run toward the commotion instead of away from it. The sight was somewhat of a surprise. Seeing the young woman jumped from behind brought back flashes of terrible memories. They were horrible, unspeakable things, but they served as wonderful motivation for her to not simply fade into the background.

"Hey!" If anyone looked at her, she'd appear a demure little girl just begging for it. And that was exactly how she wanted to appear. Somewhat pigeon-toed, knees pointed at each other, one shoulder slouched lower than the other in fake insecurity. The look on her face suggested she was rethinking calling attention to herself. But as she stood there, twin dagger from sheathes strapped to her arms beneath her jacket slid down to rest in her curled fingers. She wanted them to come at her. She wanted them to make the first move in hopes of distracting attention from the other woman.

"I look pretty good for over four hundred? I stopped counting after three-hundred." She said with an almost forced grin. This girl really wasn't bad at all. She wasn't sure how to answer the next question. "I don't like killing, but it is the way of the ninja. We kill who we must. I've had centuries to reflect on it, and while I don't regret killing anyone, I honor them and their death." She said respectfully. Everyday she had a moment of silence in honor of each of her victims, and to her credit, she was a fast killer. No suffering, most of the time.

The hairs on the back of her neck stood up when she heard a commotion in the alleyway, she watched for a moment as Cadence took off ahead of her. Kurami wouldn't take long to get there at all. She concentrated all her energy and took off quickly gaining speed. She didn't stay on the ground long as she used the inertia behind her to jump six feet into the air. Kurami easily and silently grappled up the side of the building, to the rooftop. She could easily see what was going on. She could see how this played out in her mind. The girl got attacked, and she...used her mutant powers to defend herself.

Kurami turned into a crow and glided down gently, using the shadows to hide her movement. Once she reached the darkest corner of the alley, she transformed into a human again, which only left a pile of black feathers, which the wind easily blew into the air. She was very theatrical after all. She didn't even bother to step out of the shadows. She targeted one of the men with her keen eye and steady hand. In the blink of an eye, she grabbed the man who had edged close to her place in the darkened alley. She pulled him in quickly, and ended him silently, before she stepped out of the shadow, ominously. She turned her gaze on the other one standing up. Her eyes scanned the situation, and saw that Cadence had a set of daggers already in her hands. Far be it from Kurami to stop her.

Kurami turned her attention to the victim, she had effectively disabled two of them before getting slammed in the back. Cadence was surely keeping the others' attention. "Are you alright?" She asked to make sure the girl was ok. She looked homeless, such a pity really, because the girl was so pretty.

When not one, but two people came to her rescue, Georgianna had been incredibly surprised. She never had people actually stand up for her before. At least... not ones that weren't currently deceased. If Markk had survived that wreck... if Eva had... maybe things would be different. No, things definitely would have been different. But they weren't different. They were like they were and Georgie had been on her own way too long now. No one had come to save her before this.

As she watched them, she found the woman behind her had come from feathers. She hadn't seen the crow. So that meant.. mutants. Like her. Georgie swallowed and took a step away from all of them. But she couldn't let own issues keep her from taking care of the idiots. So the one that started for the girl was the one she focused on. She didn't see daggers, she only saw that she was smaller than the guy. Immediately she had his legs falling out from under him when she reversed the flow of his blood from his legs to keep it isolated in his upper body. It was making her tired, but she had learned to push herself before now.

"I'll be fine," she answered, that bit of lost focus giving him back his blood for a few moments. It probably wasn't enough to save him, but it was enough to make her lose her control.

Keeping an eye on the one who started toward her, slim fingers gripped the daggers and spun them in her hands so the blade was facing outward, prepared for a fight. yet he stopped before her and she tilted her head. What was happening right now? Green eyes lifted to see Kurami as the older woman came out of the shadows to make sure the girl was all right. And still the man before her didn't move for a few seconds. Almost as soon as the girls' concentration wavered and the man had the full use of his legs back, he was up on his feet and lunging at Cadence.

She didn't want to hurt him, not really. The daggers were more for protection than anything else. If he only knew what else she had hidden on her, maybe he wouldn't have kept coming at her. As it was, Cadence ducked easily to avoid the swinging club of his arm. The momentum of his arm carried him forward giving her time to pin on her heel and face him before he could turn to face her. She kicked up and down, driving the heel of her boot into his back and flattening him to the pavement. She hated seeing anyone being picked on to this degree. "Did you know that there is a muggers conference that held its first meeting in Bangladesh in 1996? It ended with the title of Master Hijacker being conferred on Mohammed Rippon for his record 21 muggings in two hours."

He struggled to get up, blood streaming from his nose. Cadence loomed over him looking anything but a threat. Yet something he saw in her face made his eyes go wide in panic. Her mossy eyes had gone completely red, lips curling up to reveal severely pointed teeth as she made herself look like everyone's worst vision of a vampire. "You're not going to do this again, are you?"

He practically screamed a no, holding his nose. Cadence stepped back slightly to give him room to get to his feet and scurry off. As she turned around to face the others her eyes filtered back to normal, teeth shrinking and blunting. "Anyone else want to play?"

The girl looked a little rough around the edges. She really was a pretty girl, but she was concerned for her well being. "Kuso!" She said loudly in Japanese. She didn't think either would know it meant damnit. "What are you doing in the alley at nine o'clock at night? Do you have a death wish or something?!" She scolded loudly. "Let me see your back." She commanded.

Kurami wasn't a trained medic or anything, but she knew how to tell if bones were broken, and how to set most of them back. It was incredibly painful, but she could set them if a rib was broken. She turned to look at Cadence. She just watched a moment before calmly saying, "If you are going to kill them, then kill them, or I will."

She really was ruthless. She didn't have a problem being a vigilante, but as far as she was concerned, they could have raped the young girl or killed her. Granted they might not have, but the tie always went to the dealer, and Kurami was always the dealer.

Kurami pulled a small knife from behind her, attached to her belt, and handed it to the girl. "This was the first tanto given to me by the Lady Nohime." She said as she thrusted the tanto into the girl's hands. The tanto was black, and the sheath and handle were made of ivory and dyed black, a purple snake was raised on it by carving the rest of the ivory down, and curled around the tanto. The snake's eyes were made of purple Topaz. It was gorgeous, and valuable. "The blade is sharp enough to cut through Buddha if you had to." She added. Kurami had quite a few tantos, so this wasn't a major loss for her. It was one of her favorites though.

She looked at Cadence for a moment. She may have been a mercenary, but she did at least have a heart.

Between all the things being said to her and between the two women, as well as the remaining three guys, Georgianna was slightly at a loss. There was too much going on for her to really think or focus on anything, and that was a problem. Georgie had to focus to use her powers, but these women and their reactions were distracting her in a major way. Especially when the Asian looking one demanded to see her back.

"What? No. They just... they just pushed me," she replied, her brow furrowing as she tried to take a step back. When that didn't work and the woman shoved a very long blade into her hands. She blinked, looking down at it. Why was she giving her this exactly? And she was talking about... about killing the boys? Really? This woman had to be crazy, that was the only explanation that Georgie could come up with.

The blond, however, had just... shifted her face? A shapeshifter? Really? Georgie knew they'd been mutants, but all this commotion and talk of killing when the boys could have just been scared off... and then being scolded like the taller woman was her mother, Georgie was a little bit speechless at the moment.

Cadence made a face at Kurami and shook her head. "I'm not going to kill them. They're just stupid boys, not murderers. I'm not a murderer either." Killing was an absolute last resort. Always. There was too much of that in the world today without her adding to it. Perhaps she should have been a little more afraid of her companion than she was. There was a disconnect somewhere, though. Sometimes it made her fearless. Sometimes it made her too afraid for her own good. Sometimes it kept her from feeling anything at all. This was the case now as she watched the leftover attackers scramble to their feet and follow their friend. No emotion whatsoever.

After a long moment, Cadence turned to look at the girl and her blank expression took on something more sympathetic. Her fear and confusion was a look she recognized and it was painful to see. "Are you all right?" The question was softly asked, as though speaking too loud might be a wrong move. She walked over to the girl and casually looked her over. "Did they hurt you?" Winter's voice was in her head asking the same questions. It was like a repeat of their first encounter, only Cadence had been close to death and Winter was the one doing the saving.

"My name is Cadence," she offered, her Scottish brogue thicker as she gave her name. A frown turned down the corners of her lips a fraction. "Why were those men attacking you?"
