Kurami frowned. "I am sorry." She said as she saw the look on Cadence's face. "Perhaps I'm just not used to this era. In feudal Japan, we killed those who attacked us. My apologies if that seems a little...strange." She managed to choke it out, and the words themselves seemed almost too sour for her mouth.
Kurami just watched as Cadence tried to talk to the young lady. Kurami thought it would be a great time to clean her blade. She walked over to one of the metal trashcans and grabbed a rag from on top, and used it to clean the solid black tanto that she used to kill the man she pulled into the shadows. Perhaps she shouldn't have killed the man, she would definitely need to slow down on the deadly force thing. Surely Cadence must have expected this behavior from a mercenary?
It didn't really matter. She was concerned about this girl in the alleyway. Kurami pulled a lighter out of her pocket and set the rag on fire. Kurami was just an abrasive person in these types of situations. She really did care about the girl though; both of them. With her blade clean and sterilized, she put it back in its sheath, and back into her belt.
She slowly walked back over to where the two younger girls were, without saying a word.
