X-23 watched him, mirroring Scott's stance by crossing her arms over her chest as well. She let the comment about looking like him, like Logan, sink in a moment. It wasn't something she ever really thought about, whether or not their physical features shared any likeness. it was surprising to find that the comment made her happy, though it didn't show on her face. It was hard not to wonder what Logan would have thought if he'd heard Scott's observation.
"Logan's not exactly the type of person to share his life story." She didn't feel like getting into the whole explanation of her being a clone and all that, at least not right now. If he asked her how she knew him she'd tell him with no problem. But first things first. "There's also a lot he doesn't remember or know about his own life. He didn't even know about me until about a month ago." That was as much as she could give him right now. Looking at the visor, X-23 could still remember seeing Scott chained to a bed and helpless without his visor. She hadn't felt bad for him then, more curious than anything. it was the same way she felt now.
"They don't teach me shit," she answered evenly. "I'm too old to be a student and even if I wasn't, I don't stay in one place long enough to need any sort of classes." Life was her school, the experiences she had every day her lessons. it was something of an old saying and sounded really lame, but for X-23 they were very true words. "No one is teaching them how to kill people but the people that launched an attack on them. If anyone kills there, it's out of self-defense and nothing more." Did this guy even know what had happened to the mansion? If not, he was about to get a rude wake up call. "When was the last time you were there?" she hedged. X-23 could be seriously insensitive at times, but something stopped her from blurting out that Xavier had been dead for a long time now.
After a moment she said, "X-23." There was cold anger on her face, hearing Nathaniel's doll tone in her head chiding her about not using her real name. Could she be Laura right now? It seemed that was only when she felt safer, more surrounded by people she didn't feel were trying to get the better of her somehow. This guy was one of them, one of those X-Geeks, but that didn't mean she could just trust him like that. "They call me X-23."
