His brows furrowed as he listened and the second she said she had claws he growled inwardly. "You what?" Maybe it was possible that the second hand information was a little exaggerated, maybe they saw things that weren't there. god how he hoped that was the case. "Have they.. happened again?"
Oh his mind was made up, no matter how she tried to talk him out of it. "It's not babysitting Marie. It's helping, and right now, I'm all you got darlin'." Logan shrugged. "and if I need space I'm a big boy I know how ta take a walk. And I'm sure by now you know how ta give me space and when I don't want ta be bothered." Looking at her he shook his head. "Yeah, you're a grown woman. But you're not in control, you black out. What happens if you black out, wake up not knowing where you are, no one ta help you. I'd never be able ta live that down."
When she settled into him he smiled, stroking her hair gently. "Never wanted ya ta understand me, not like this." No one deserved that. He wouldn't even wish it on his worst enemy. "I know thing or two about control, it's gonna take a lot of focus on your part. This ain't gonna be easy. But then again, when is anything?"
Nodding he soaked in that information. "Well, we gotta work on keepin' ya happy. Should be easy enough with me bein' here an' all. And just what kinda excitement we talkin' 'bout here Marie?" He didn't even know this Remy kid and he wanted to beat him to a pulp for some reason. "That.. you must be gettin' from me. The whole irritation thing. We'll work on that."
He really didn't have any clue why this was happening. "Well, you were a kid then.. maybe as you got older and your powers lay dormant they also matured. Now with them finally able to break free it's all happening at once rather than gradually. See, I don't think that cure ever got rid of your powers, I think it just held them at bay. And when somethin's held back for a long period of time.. well it's got no choice but ta get stronger. Trust me on that one." Logan knew all too well when he held a tight leash on that rage when it broke free it was stronger and more dangerous than ever.
