Rogue crossed her arms and watched the rest of the fight with a proud and knowing smile on her face. She never knew anyone who enjoyed getting into actual fist fights the way Logan seemed to. And just as quickly as he was back on his feet, Logan ended the match in an impressive way. She looked around casually, amused with the mixed reaction of cheers and cries of dismay. She could only assume those who bet against Logan were still new to this type of thing. He never lost unless he wanted to. And she'd yet to see that happen.
Her attention went back to Logan as he was declared the winner, and she clapped she show her support. It really didn't matter to her that there was only a scant smattering of applause around the whole place. Logan was her friend and she would clap if she wanted to, damn it.
The crowds were shifting as another match was being set up, and Rogue backed away to wait were these was less of a chance of bumping into anyone. She watched the conversation, brief as it was, and observed the way the blonde stared after Logan and the small smile on his face. Whatever he said, she didn't like it none. She couldn't bring herself to feel sorry for the woman.
it was strange how much like herself she felt. Ever since the night of the attack when her abilities came back at full throttle and then some, she'd been sharing her head and her body with so many other people that the memories and feelings that didn't belong together just flowed from one to another as though they were made that way. Right now, Rogue had a clear vision of who she was, where she was, and what she was doing. It was all her, and the fear that it wouldn't last long was very real. Yet as Logan drew closer, she hid it behind a wide grin.
It would have been very adult of her to stay cool, to offer some witty banter about how long it had been. But it wouldn't have been very true to their relationship. With her hands gloved and her body so well covered, she didn't hesitate in standing on her tip-toes and wrapping her arms around his neck in an embrace. "Hey there handsome," she said quietly. "Where you been all my life?"
