"If it weren't for the younger ones I may take you up on that offer," she replied, softly, glancing towards the door. She didn't trust Magneto. Didn't like him. She'd been here when he'd unleashed what she'd heard was the Phoenix on an unsuspecting population and she couldn't stand his way of thinking. That anyone allowed him here blew her mind... and it took a lot to do that. His ideals weren't what they believed in here, but if he was left unattended with no one to teach the kids any differently, it was highly likely that the new generation of mutants would think just like him.
Turning her head at his next comment, the southern blond rose an eyebrow and smirked. "And you're an expert on women? Trust me. If I want to talk shit, I don't do it with my words. If I want to throw down with someone, I'll do it." She'd done so on many occasions. Hell, the way she thought, if they deserved to get hit, they were getting hit... as long as they weren't kids. But anyone who was legal was considered free game. Especially if the normally level headed blond was in a foul mood and had no time in the training room. Still, she shook her head at him. "Maybe if you stuck around, Magneto wouldn't take over. Someone should be here to keep that from happening. Someone who knows Magneto better than some of us do. We need someone who isn't afraid to take a stand." Paige may not be afraid to take a stand but she wasn't yet ready in either the mental capacity or the physical capacity to take that position of leadership. Yet.
"It does look like we have a predicament, don't we? I wouldn't mind learning from you, but there would be definite perks to having the extra hurdles that the training room could provide during those teachings. Don't you think so?" It was an honest question, one that had her watching him closely and carefully.
