"I'm not the usual individual," Paige shot back with a shrug and a tilt of her water bottle to her lips. Paige wasn't a trusting soul and she didn't ask favors from people she didn't know. It was that simple. Things like that... they wound up kicking you in the ass when you least expected it and least needed it. Anyone who didn't see that had to be blind. It should have been common knowledge... but then again, common knowledge was very uncommon.
"Besides, since when did conversation become a favor to ask?" Of course, Paige didn't know this man. Not really. So for all she knew, a conversation might equal a favor to him. If it did, well hell, maybe she was the usual individual. She liked to think she wasn't though. Being unique in a family of ten - scratch that, eleven now - kids was something most would wish for wasn't it? A way to not necessarily blend into the crowd of brunettes, redhead and blonds that made up her siblings?
She gave her head a shake at the thoughts that had a tendency to jumble in there. Had to love it when that happened right? Maybe. Maybe she should take a good run before heading into the training room. It might be better that way... loosen up her muscles before putting them through their everyday hell.
