"That's the second time you've mentioned Alaska. What's that all about?" Was there something she was supposed to be remembering about Alaska that was slipping her mind? Were other memories too dominant and overbearing that they blocked out others? There was a quick moment of panic, making her forget who she was, where she was, who she was talking to and why. It showed in her face.
Erik called her a runner.
"You runnin' again?" She could still feel the shock at seeing Logan on that train as though it were the very day she'd run away from Xavier's. The triggered memory helped her get a grip on herself.
"I got a fleet in my brain, their powers at my disposal." She didn't mention that they came and left at will, all completely hinging on her mental and emotional status. They controlled her, not the other way around. "You think I need your protection?" A quick laugh passed her lips. "That's the most amusin' thing I heard all day." She shrugged. "Yeah, I'm a runner. I've always been a runner. So what? You still haven't answered my question."
