Her tongue went between her lips as her pencil moved, trying to get the right flow of the lines. "All of the girls got one. I think even Kitty and Miss Cassidy did. Theirs were orange, though. I like my yellow one."

Take a picture. Why hadn't she thought of that? For a minute, June stopped drawing to consider this. "I don't have a camera." Asking to borrow someone else's wouldn't happen either. "It's okay. I like drawing and my daddy always said if I wanted to be good at something I'm usually bad at, I have to keep practicing to get better." Her voice was as quiet as Nathaniel's. She figured if he was being quiet for a reason she should be quiet as well.

After a minute she turned to look at the doctor and take a bite of her sandwich. "How come you're sleeping in here? Didn't Professor Munroe give you your own room?"
