"You even think about defilin' the professor's memorial stone I'll hurt you so bad your gran' babies'll feel it." Now she looked for the rest of the device to do the same to it as she'd done to the speaker. There was no way she could leave it there for anyone else to find or overhear. It was just sick.
After a minute, Rogue said, "I remember you now. Third floor, right? You're the guy that wouldn't shut up." She found the other speaker but not the main device itself yet. "If I remember correctly, it was me who saved you, not the other way around." There it was. She gripped it and pulled, enjoying the satisfying crunch in her hand. "Nobody saved me that night, sugar." Walking around the stone, she handed Wade's now broken equipment back to him with a slightly superior smile.
"Xavier's a hero of yours, huh? An' how exactly did you know him?" She crossed her arms, leaning back against the stone with a look of polite confusion on her face. "You realize you don't gotta wear that thing all the time around here, right? Might give people the wrong impression. Might make 'em think you're hidin' somethin'."
