As they walked inside, Jamie didn't bother hiding his curiosity. There were blown out walls, one hallways looked like there had been a failed attempt at burning it down. "Damn," he breathed, shaking his head. "Certainly wasn't a social call, was it?"
Since she was fourteen seven years ago, making her twenty-one and no longer a teenager. Jamie felt himself relax a bit more. There was nothing wrong with this situation then, besides the fact that he could almost be her father. And that thought just made him feel old.
