Hank tried not to smile. There had certainly been the potential for this to have been a bad situation, on paper anyway. The institute was built on the principals of a man who believed that there could be good in almost anyone, and even lacking the 'good' part, that not everyone had to be a threat. Sometimes you could get people to reform, or at least work together toward a common good. Two of the ways you encourage that sort of thing are by offering second chances and not turning away people in need.
He was a bit proud of Tabitha. "I defer to your judgment in this case Ms. Smith."
Mr. Madrox, you can see, but may not know that we have recently come under attack here, but you are welcome to stay here and get yourself..um.. together as it were." The man seemed at the end of his rope, and Hank Sympathized with that. Perhaps he was too inclined to forgive and help others. He was willing to err in that direction. "Please don't do anything rash like that, but understand that I am not one whose trust you should wish to betray, so don't do anything rash and play by the rules, and we will do all in our power and resources to get you the sort of help you need."
Hank tended toward wordiness, and a sense of humor that was not fully appreciated by all, but he was a good man, and a good spokesperson for the school. He meant what he said. You don't turn away someone at your door asking for help. "I'll need to know a good bit about you and your abilities and how they are triggered, as well as any other sorts of concerns or conditions you have noticed since the shot wore off. We can talk about this and length and get your vitals and whatnot when you join me in the medical facility. I think I'd like you to stay there with me for a few days. You can move about when you are feeling up to it, but I would like you stationed in the subbasement for the most part. If you are hungry or Thirsty, Tabitha can show you where a kitchen is."
