Kitty heard Bobby calling for her and even looked up in time to see him launch himself at the mutant. There was an insane moment where she waned to cheer for him, but this was no session in the Danger Room. The pain she felt and the way her vision swam before her was a sure sign of that. She was trying to focus, getting frustrated with her inability o keep the room still when Bobby was suddenly there.
"I'm okay," she lied. Her face looked worse than her stomach, but the wound to her stomach was deeper than the scratch across her face. She couldn't feel her lips and was lucid enough to know that probably was not a good thing. "Help me up." All she needed was to get back on her feet. Get the circulation going again. This fight was not over and she was not down for the count. She was too stubborn.
She reached for Bobby's arm for support but missed by a wide margin. Frowning, she tried again but fell back to the floor when the full force of the poison in her system finally hit her bloodstream. It was painful enough for her to wonder if death would be kinder but not enough so that she wouldn't fight. She could taste blood in her mouth now from her face and her back arched, feeling the hot needles shooting through her veins. "I got the girls out," she panted, not knowing ahe hadn't gotten all of them out. "I got them out."
