Raven was on her way back from the city, having just finished up some work at her "office." The lab was fully operational, they were just waiting on a few more deliveries... and test subjects. It was coming along as quickly as it could, though, and until they received the additional shipments, there wasn't much else she could do.
She pulled up to the front gate of the mansion and frowned, narrowing her eyes. There was movement on the lawn. At 2am. That definitely wasn't right. She made a U-turn as though she'd pulled into the wrong driveway, then parked the car some distance from the gate and pulled a few guns from the trunk, tucking all but one of them away inside her body. She wasn't sure what was up, but she wasn't about to go in unarmed.
A minute later, she was perched atop one of the pillars of the wall, having matched the decorative statues elsewhere on property, surveying the mansion. Flashes of light from more than one floor, plus the movements of the mutants in the yard suggested one thing very clearly. The mansion was under attack. As much fun as it would have been to just sit there and watch, now that she was actually there, she was a potential target for their attack as well.
Besides, taking some of them out would be just as fun.
Smiling, she picked her first target. Obvious, maybe, thanks to its giant head, but it would do as a warm-up. One shot and the man fell, slumped to the ground. Raven rolled down from her perch, sprinting down along the wall. It wouldn't take a genius to figure out the trajectory of the bullet, and she wasn't about to be sitting there when they rushed the spot.
