Lorna jumped a bit when the claws came out. Knowing they were there and seeing them in the flesh, as it were, were two entirely different things. She took in everything they were saying, processed it quickly but still had a genuinely confused expression.
"Put those back," Lorna said, trying to sound commanding but it came out sounding more like a question than anything else. She could force them back in, she was sure. But she could also accidentally break them, she thought.
"Who are you talking about?" she asked, she was inching towards the door.
