There was something you didn't see every day. The usher's arm was wretched forward, his wrist pinned to the door and quickly joined by Nathaniel's phone, keys and wallet and by virtue of having them in it's pockets, his coat. The lights along the wall shifted as though they'd like to join the other metallic objects in their quest to get more familiar with the door and flickered as if in remorse that they could not.
The annoyance the doctor felt remained, but a rising curiousity at what had just occured and continued to occur as the usher grew continually more panicked at not being able to pull himself away replaced his anger. Stepping forward, he checked the usher's wrist and found a steel band watch sitting right next to the keys which were laying flat against the wood.
Frowning for a brief moment, he shushed the usher who whimpered a little in distress and then calmly knocked. One, two, three raps. "Hello? Is someone in there? You're in my seat."
