Logan's growl at the sound of the phone ringing again made her feel ever so slightly less pissed off by its constant intrusion. She liked it better when he was angry about something. Even more encouraging than the growl was his outburst at her movement. He pulled her back hard, and she gasped at the sudden movement, reaching down to knit her fingers through his hair.
And then the phone rang again.
She glared at it with a quiet growl, fingers tensing at Logan's scalp and digging into his skin. It seemed as though the girl was going to continue to pester her until she either went insane or answered. Perhaps the sooner she handled whatever the situation was, the sooner she'd be able to get back to what she was doing in peace.
"Keep going," she instructed Logan, hand slipping down to his ear. She took a second to compose herself and hit the button on the phone. "This is not a good time. What do you need?"
