She backed up now, claws in her hands springing forth in case she had to protect herself. Somehow she knew that whatever was going on was not within Nathaniel's control. It succeeded in scaring her slightly, though she'd never admit to as much.
"Nathaniel!" she barked, moving into a defensive stance. Something was happening, the room was changing and then coming back to what she knew. "Stop it!" She looked wildly around, trying to decide if she should stay, or if she should run. For a moment, she simply stared at the diamond on his forehead.
It was his voice that brought her out of her semi-trance and, acting on pure instinct, she retracted the claws in her right hand and punched him. Dashing back to her defensive position by the bathroom door, she claws came out again, just in case this didn't work in snapping him out of whatever was happening to him.
