"You'd miss it," she smiled. "You talk like you wouldn't, but inside it would get to you." She caught his look out of the corner of her eye and smiled faintly. The car was a bit much, and she knew it. It stood out, but as a human she'd felt like she needed something to set her apart. She didn't drive it often but it had felt like the kind of evening that warranted a little bit of subtle hinting.
"Don't worry," she assured him, glancing over as he tried to get comfortable, "it's not far. You won't have to suffer in my obscenely expensive car much longer."
