Now that the smell was more pungent, JP himself was having a relatively hard time keeping both his stomach quiet, and his mouth from salivating. He'd eaten a big lunch, so he couldn't figure out exactly why he was suddenly so starving, but he doubted that would have had anything to do with it. Good food was good food, and tricking your body into behaving itself when some was being offered was slightly pointless.
"Actually, I'm just going into the city for a few days to visit a few friends." JP replied conversationally, prying the top off his dinner container and plucking a piece of visible shrimp from the top of the lo mien pile to eat it. "I'll be back through the week, though. I have papers to grade and other teacher-y stuff to deal with." He used to chopsticks to tug a dumpling from the other container and munched on it greedily, murmuring a little to himself as the juices filled his mouth. "I keep forgetting how good this place is."
