"Good, because I don't think I was gonna stop even if you told me to stop." He nodded. Remy had a habit of flirting with just about everyone, and it really wasn't something he could turn off. Especially when the person he was flirting with was as attractive as Marie.
"I'm ready whenever you are," he decided. He had, after all, been wanting to make some kind of big change. To stir things up a little bit. Packing a bag and heading out of town with a woman he'd only just met certainly fell under that category. Jean-Luc still hadn't passed any new guild jobs on to him, and Remy had virtually nothing on his own schedule. It was as good a time as any to do something stupid.
As she spoke about her powers and how they'd completely messed her up, Remy twisted his hand under hers so it was palm up and absently stroked the top of her hand with his thumb. It really sounded awful. The whole thing, from the obvious not being able to touch anyone to the boyfriend's unfortunate coma to the potential lack of a grace period should her powers decide to come back right then and there. Still, he wasn't about to let go until she made him.
"Je suis désolé," he replied softly. "That sounds rough." Reaching up, he brushed some of the hair back from her face. "Maybe it's just gonna spike then go away again. Know my powers did that all the time when I first got 'em. Maybe it's the same when you get them back."
