Turning in the direction indicated, Rogue looked the crypt over from where she stood. Being in New Orleans made it less of a surprise to hear about anyone being into Voodoo. There were a lot of different beliefs down here and that was one of the popular ones. From the simple headstones to the mausoleums, the place was rich in untold stories and history. And people thought cemeteries were just creepy.
When Remy offered his hand, she looked at it for a long moment without moving. With the increase of memories there was a very good possibility that just taking his hand would not turn into as pleasurable an experience as normality would suggest. She'd hugged Ororo when the older woman left, but it had been more cautious than the embrace at the bar. No skin touched and it had been a conscious decision on her part. "I don't wanna hurt you." It was such a real far that she couldn't even bring herself to take his hand. The what ifs were too dominant in her thoughts. If he wanted her hand he would have to take it himself.
"One of the many good things about Xavier's was is that they teach you how to take care of yourself with and without your powers. When you're a single woman down here with no connections, you gotta know how to stand up for yourself.."
With a deep breath in, Rogue closed her eyes momentarily and nodded about the issue of sleep. There was nothing she would like better than to just let herself drift off, but it would have to wait. "I think I might head up to New York. Ro said they'd have a room for me if I needed it. Not sure if I'll stay there since I didn't leave on the best of terms, but at least I'll have help nearby if somethin' does happen." She didn't feel the need to mention that she was thinking about getting the cure again. If it was something that had to be maintained every few years so she could be able to have normal relationships, was that such a high price?
The wind shifted, blowing directly at them it seemed, and it was not warm. Rogue looked up at the sky in thought. "'Sides...if it's this cold, I'd like to see some snow. Westchester is real pretty this time of year."
