He'd heard her footsteps as she approached, but continued to read the plaque. When she spoke, he smiled, finishing the sentence he was reading before replying, "Pas de problème. Ain't got much to do 'cept listen to family making a nice, big holiday scene anyway."
"How 'bout you?" He turned more fully to her, looking her over as he asked, "You got any pressing holiday plans?"
She looked tired, and he sincerely hoped that she wasn't still torn up about what had happened at the bar. Of course, he also didn't know if it had cost her her job or anything, in which case he could completely understand being upset for an extended period of time. He hadn't been back to the place since the incident, and Emil hadn't reported either way about her still being employed there. Most of the updates from Emil were about whether or not there were still tiny burn marks on the floor from the few peanuts that had missed their target.
"That friend of yours still in town?" He turned completely, leaning back against the wall. Remy wasn't sure if Anna would want to keep on talking there or move into the cemetery, or even head somewhere else completely, but he'd leave it up to her.
