"Indeed." he confirmed with his grin still firmly in place. Technically his name was Grimsley but he almost never used his full name. It probably hadn't been used at all since he was home for Christmas. His grin only widened as she confirmed she liked it. As she declared their toast he grinned even more. He was betting his instinct was right and she wasn't just a human, though in New Orleans it could hard to tell most of the time. he threw back the shot before his eyes settled on her again. The bar tended had returned to hand him another beer from what he assumed was a round the band had ordered.
He couldn't hid the surprise that crossed his face as she spoke abruptly. His eyebrow rose as she listed everything she didn't want to know. As she wiped all the opening conversation of the table Grimm momentarily wondered if he was going to be dismissed. But she surprised him again. Listing real conversation topics that girls, or anyone really, never asked him. he had had interviews that were supposed to get to know him but never asked questions like this. His mix of surprise and admiration for her thoughts read as completely shock on his face. He didn't initially know how to react. Before he could process any of it she was running for the door. He hesitated only a moment before he decided he could not let this girl walk away. Grimm turned on his heel and followed her out the door.
As he exited the bar he was relieved to find her just outside the door. His grin was back as he approached her again. "Robert Frost." he answered her question as he pulled his lighter from his pocket to light her cigarette for her. "My favorite poem, if you care to know, is Ghost House." He paused long enough to take out a cigarette of his own and light it. "Constellations is a bit harder. I'll admit I don't spend alot of time looking at the sky. But I do know Orion, Who doesn't count because everyone knows him, But i know that if you look to the left of him you'll find the V shape of Taurus and just past him is the Pleiades of the seven sisters, despite the fact that there are only six stars. Orion is trying to save them from the bull." He smiled at her for a moment before he continued. "I know Cassiopeia is made up with a set of stars in the shape of a W. She is Andromeda's mother but the light pollution is usually too bad to see Andromeda. But not far from Cassiopeia is Pegasus, who Perseus rode to save Andromeda from the sea monster, Cetus. Who is also a constellation but I have no idea where you find that one." He laughed softly at himself and paused to take a drag of his cigarette before he smiled at her again. "And favorite romantic couple? That would be the Emperor Justinian and his queen Theodora of 6th century Constantinople. He turned the laws of his empire upside down in order to marry a lowly actress because he loved her."
He let the silence stretch for a moment before he continued, "I do not have a girlfriend and you are most definitely not an idiot." He watched for her reaction for a long moment before he spoke again. "NOw I wanna know your answers to those questions.
