There was nothing that could hide Annabelle's excitement as she moved around her kitchen checking on everything for the meal she was preparing. When she had first found this building she never thought things could come together this quickly, and yet here she was standing in her kitchen putting the finishing touches on the lasagna before she slipped it in to the oven. It was a couple of months ago she had met Tuck, her new friend and contractor. Without him she wouldn’t have been able to get things set as quickly as she did. Which was why she decided to make dinner, Tuck had refused payment when she tried to give him money so she knew she had to do something else for him. A nice dinner was the least she could do when one considered all he had helped her. Annabelle couldn’t help but smile when she thought of Tuck, the reaction a subconscious one that she had not caught the meaning behind just yet. Sidestepping Ash Annabelle moved to put the lasagna in the oven before she set the timer, she had just enough time to clean up before he arrived. Annabelle had purposely not told Tuck what she had planned, just that she wanted to show him something.
Heading upstairs, with her constant kitty companion right at her heels Annabelle stripped off her work clothes to get cleaned up for dinner. She had been adding a few finishing paint touch ups, like the red wall in her bedroom as well as cleaning and taking pictures to show Richard. Thinking about her husband was bittersweet, while she wanted to hear his voice it always caused her heart to ache because she didn’t know when she'd ever see him again; if ever. With a sigh Annabelle let her platinum blonde hair down and stepped in to the warmed up shower. It didn’t take her long to get cleaned up, she moved about with a practiced ease; thought just as she finished her hair and added a light touch of makeup Annabelle heard the buzzer for the oven going off. Slipping in to her robe and tying it loosely she headed downstairs to get their dinner before it burned,
