Lost in his own musings, Evon quickly glanced up as someone entered his office. Though Evon wouldn’t necessarily call Ryder Stark a friend, he was an individual who had assisted the Force before and could be depended on in a tight spot. Rising, Evon held out his hand in welcome, noticing the light smile on the other man’s face. “I hate to call you down here like this, Stark, but we’ve had another drop off and I’m afraid you’ve been pulled into the mess.”
Everyone in No Man’s Land knew about the ‘DO’s, as they were being called so there was no chance that Ryder wouldn’t know what he was speaking of. “If you’d care to follow me,” Evon added, directing his visitor toward a long hallway which led to a series of holding and interrogation rooms. As the two men walked together, Evon continued to give Ryder the story, “We got an alert last night that there was activity at the old GG sector, so Detective Capano and I proceeded to check it out. I honestly haven’t seen anything like the scene we found when we arrived. There were 3 military personnel already dead, and two engaged in hand to hand over the body of a female. I took to higher ground to lay out cover if needed ..” There was a pause because, in all honesty, Donevon had never seen the behavior he’d witnessed before and it was hard to describe. “All I can say is that when the two finally realized that Dylan was there, they approached in an aggressive manner and I felt my fellow officer was in danger and took them out accordingly.”
They’d reached a door near the back of the hall and Evon produced a key to undo the lock. “It’s the girl I called you here about, Ryder,” Evon said softly. “She’s pretty beat up and scared. We believe there is the possibility she knows you and we brought you down to see if you could confirm.” With that, Donevon opened the door and led Ryder into a darkened room with two way mirror. A bedraggled young woman sat alone on the other side, her face staring blankly at the mirror.
