Ryder had gotten the phone call from the Boys in Blue and had promptly left his home on the highest point of the island of San Francisco to discover what ever it was that Evon had not wanted to tell him over the phone. It had been a long day for Ryder, since the local hyenas who had been a pain in everyone's ass had decide they liked his little ultra high tech cliffside fortress and wanted it as their own. If they had any sense, they would have left well enough alone, but the young and dumb among them thought to make a play for his territory. And this coyote didn't share well with anyone who wasn't invited to play. The bodies had been unceremoniously dumped over the edge of the cliff, and it wasn't likely the call from Evon was due to any noise complaints or anything like that, as Ryder Stark had no neighbors. He lived as far out as possible, away from people. Hopping onto his motorcycle, Ryder made his way down the steep incline that was his driveway after arming the security system and other booby traps around his place. Paranoid? No. It wasn't paranoia if they really were after you or your secrets. In Ryder's basement he held secrets about almost all of No Man's Land residents, secrets they wouldn't want out and about. Most were from his days with the FBI. He has specialized in information about the highest profiled supernaturals, and old habit died hard. He still collected secrets, and used them for his own protection and for those he called friends. Which here, was pretty only Caesareo. Sure there were a few others he could tolerate and even have a few beers with, but trust was something Ryder didn't give out for free. Areo had earned it as Ryder had earned Areo's.
Pulling up in front of the Boys-in-Blue headquarters, Ryder parked his bike around the side. He wondered if they needed information or the like from him, as he had been cooperative to the Boys before, as he knew they were doing the best they could and were really the underdogs. Swinging the glass doors open, he nodded at the secretary as he stepped up to her, safely behind the reinforced glass.
"Evenin' darlin'," he greeted her, his voice a bit gruff, even when being charming. "Officer Armour, is expectin' me." He smiled at her. "Ryder Stark." She smiled at him, subtly checking him out as she picked up a phone and called Donevon, speaking softly, to inform him Ryder was there. A few moments later she was nodding and hanging up.
"Mr. Stark-" she started as Ryder interrupted her. "Ryder. You can call me Ryder." The woman smiled at him, looking quite taken with his charm. "Ryder," she amended with another smile at him, which he returned. "Officer Armour is expecting you." She buzzed him in, and Ryder came through the door, and followed where she indicated to go, even though he already knew Evon's office. As he reached the door, he looked back over his shoulder and she was watching him. Tossing her a wink he disappeared into Donevon's office in a much better mood then he had been in a few minutes earlier.
"Evenin' Officer," he greeted Donevon as he took the chair across from the other man. "What can I do for you this evening?"
