Xavier kissed her back, as if he were trying to regain control over the kiss, but he had already lost it. The cigarette fell to the floor at his feet, forgotten. When she released him, he gently tugged on her lower lip, before he let her step away from him, both breathing heavily. Perhaps if she just pretended he was someone else... Taking a deep breath that sounded shakier then she wanted it to sound, she noticed the rats on their knees for them. Ro nodded at X as he said he wanted to get her home. She tried not to think about what that meant for her. If she could do this, if she could get through this, give him what he wanted, maybe nothing would change. Maybe he would let he finish school here, although she was hard pressed to beleive that he would share that much of her time, as medical school would take. Swallowing hard, she walked out of the bar, not looking at anyone as she did.
It wasn't until she was outside that the panic and the full force of what she had just done hit her. She had accepted him. The panic attack threatened to well up, but she controlled it as she controlled her beast, breathing deeply and counting to herself silently, not meeting Xavier's eyes as she slid onto the bike behind him, shivering as she forced herself to wrap her arms around him, before he started the bike and took off. She made no apologies for her actions, but he didn't seem to mind. He seemed in shock....and pleased. Which she hoped bode well for her back at his place.
Resting her head on his back, she tried to stop the silent tears that threatened to fall. She had failed. She was a coward, falling into the same trap her mother and her sister had. Perhaps it just ran in their family. Drawing a shaky breath, as he pulled up to the trailer park and homes that were the Rat's territory, Ro composed herself before releasing him and getting off his bike. She let him lead her to the house that was his. It was a nice place, and still she said nothing as he unlocked the door and they walked inside. As the door shut and locked, a shiver ran through her and she tried not to tremble.
Raising her green and gold eyes to meet his dark ones, she stood there, waiting for him to make the first move.
