"What would running get me?" she asked, although the question was rhetorical. Unless she had Tragedy with her, she wouldn't leave. She would never leave her sister here again. She couldn't. X said he didn't want to kill her, and she muttered, "Thanks," under her breath as she walked through the door he held open for her, head held like a Queen. Through the bar she walked, feeling all of their eyes on her. These people whom she had grown up with, and not one of them spoke up for her. None but her sister. Who was no where to be found. The Second in Command had probably dragged her out, to keep her from getting herself or Ro killed.
As she passed the bar where Eva was sitting, the woman glared at her, muttering "whore," under her breath and spitting at her. Even though X had told her not to speak to anyone, to head straight for his bike, Romance stopped and whipped the spittle off her cheek and turned her angry eyes on the rat bitch. She could feel X's eyes on her back, but she didn't care that he might punish her for this. This had to happen. Now, or none of them would respect her. Faster then the other rat could see, Ro slapped her, and grabbed her by her hair, slamming her face into the bar, breaking her nose, and holding her against the bar as she leaned in and said loud enough for the rest of the bar to hear, "You will show your Queen the proper respect." Pulling Eva off the bar stool, she shoved her so she fell to her knees in front of the smaller woman. Green and gold eyes surveyed the crowd, all watching her, and then she met X's eyes. He might punish her for this, but this was something she needed to do. Maybe it was her mother's voice in her head, telling her what to do, guiding her, Ro didn't know, all she knew was she had changed direction walking towards Xavier instead of away from him to the bike. Maybe this wouldn't change a thing that would be coming to her in private, but it would probably go a long way toward not killing her.
She didn't stop moving until she was pressed up against him, her arms coming up around his neck, as she stood on her tip toes to press a passionate kiss to his lips, cementing her acceptance of being his Queen in front of the whole Rodare. One by one the rats in the bar, joined Eva on their knees on the floor, but Ro didn't see this, as she used every ounce of her willpower to kiss him like he'd never been kissed in his entire fucking life.
