“Come here chica” He wiggled his finger, motioning her to come closer. “You are going to sit here… right next to me” he chuckled softly his eyes still locked onto her.
Ro's big eyes widened even more at his words and she hesitated only a moment before she moved across the room to where he was seated. There wasn't an empty seat next to him. Did he mean...He meant she was to sit in that large seat with him? Ro wasn't a prude, not entirely anyway, but she didn't know X, not very well and she was confused and a little scared. She did not sit where he indicated, her eyes still locked on his as he spoke, his voice a sexy purr, low and indicative of naughty thoughts and dark desires, making her shiver in response. Looking over her shoulder at her sister as she mentioned, Ro had to fight back her tears.
"But," she started to say softly, before a movement out of the corner of her eye had her turning towards it, toward Eva as she launched herself at the future queen, shouting something at her, that Romance barely understood. The Third in Command made a grab for her, but she was too close to Ro. Instinctively, Romance ducked away from her and shoved her hard so she fell to her knees in front of the king. Grabbing her by the back of her neck, and holding her on her knees, Romance leaned down to the other woman's ear.
"You. Do NOT want to fuck with me," she said softly. "If you have a problem with the King's proclamation, make it to him. Touch me again, I will forget that I am a pacifist." Letting the other woman go, Ro turned back to the King, annoyed now at the crazy bitch for attacking her.
"Xavier, I'm flattered, truly I am," she said, voice still soft, but not meek anymore. She knew she hadn't really a choice, if he said she didn't. And if she ran, her sister would pay for it. And Ro wouldn't have that. "I have med school," she continued, her voice still respectful as she spoke. "I live in San Diego, I have...." she trailed off her eyes reading that he didn't give a fuck.
