Cursing loudly, Leighton clutched her side as she let out a string of curses. The coyote was attempting to scurry backwards, but Leighton's aim had been true. The sounds of Aero finishing his own battle had her looking over her shoulder at him as he changed and came up beside her. His words held weight and meaning to them, which Leighton acknowledged with a nod of her head, fighting through the various pain she was feeling. Straightening up, she glanced at Aero. "Damn straight he is."
The Ulfric walked towards the coyote bleeding out on the pavement. Dropping to a knee square in the center of his chest, the smaller girl pulled the silver dagger out of his stomach and wiped the blood on the coyote's shirt. Cracking her neck, she looked down at the dying lycan.
"Who sent you to kill me?" she asked her voice even and cold as she traced the blade along the man's chest. He wasn't much older then she was. Obviously newly turned, be it in the quake or on purpose. The guy shook his head.
"Not feeling talkative?" she asked as she shoved the silver dagger through his left hand and he screamed. "I asked you a question, scum," Leighton growled as she twisted the knife. "And since you seem to have caught me in a less then generous mood, I suggest you tell me what I want to know, and I'll kill you quickly." Shifting her hands into claws, she used her free hand, to slap him across the face, her sharp claws leaving deep gouges on his face.
"I don't know," he gasped out. Leighton sighed at him and leaned on the knife in the center of his palm, dragging it up through the meaty part of his hand. "I don't think I believe you," she informed him. "And I can smell the lie on you." As she said this, she shoved her hand into the gaping sound she had left on his side, tearing it open more. As the man screamed, Leighton continued her line of questioning.
"I'm only going to ask you this one more time before I rip your heart out and be done with it. You know who I am. Who hired you to kill me?" Removing her hand from his wound, her turquoise eyes cold as she looked down at him.
"I don't know his name," the coyote gasped as he coughed up blood. "He was a tiger. That's all I know. Please don't kill me," he begged. Leighton leaned forward and took his head in her hands, before she twisted, breaking his neck quickly, removing her knife from his hand as she stood up. Turning to face Aero, she wiped the blade on the dead lycan's jeans and walked towards him, picking up her other two knives as she did so, and tucked them into her shredded jacket. Aero was completely nude, as any shifter would be after they shifted, but Leighton didn't mind the view. Not in the least.
"Thank you," she said as she reached him. She knew he could have let her die on his front step if he had wanted to. And that deserved some acknowledgment. The fight and coming full moon had her beast all riled up and it liked the view of the other Alpha male all covered in blood and just as riled up as she was...
