Thread: Leighton & Areo
Who: Leighton and Areo
When: A couple weeks after NML was declared
Where: Areo's Place
What: A fateful meeting in which Leighton attempts to threaten Areo
In the aftermath of the declaration of No Man's Land, Leighton had responded rather quickly to the disaster and organized her Pack. They had taken quite a hit in numbers but so had everyone. She still had a few loose ends to tie up. Like Aero. Of course she had known the Alpha male was in her territory, she knew EVERY fucking wolf in San Francisco, not just the ones that had joined her Pack. True, most wolves within San Francisco had joined her pack or the Coalition, but there were some that chose to be loners. Like Aero. Of course Aero also happened to be an Alpha, and an Alpha loner was always a problem. They had met a few times, and so far he hadn't proven himself a threat, despite the rumors that abounded about the ridiculously attractive wolf.
But now he worried her. He was older, possibly more experienced then she was, and he had power. They hadn't had any contact since No Man's Land had been declared, but he was still alive. Mina had seen him a couple days ago, looking no worse for wear. And now it was time to deliver her ultimatum to him. Join her pack or consider himself a rouge with all the threats being a rouge entailed. Tracking him to his last known address hadn't been hard, since she had allied herself with the Boys in Blue, to help protect the humans in their time of need.
As she turned onto the block of the address she was seeking, she noticed that she was being followed. The confident woman didn't slow her stride as she continued her walk. She could smell the rogues as they stalked her. Her hands slipped into the pockets of her studded leather jacket, both hands closing on her silver switchblades. Her gun was tucked in the back of her very short light blue denim shorts, and another knife was tucked into her boot. Her turquoise eyes never flicked to where she knew she was being stalked. Their scent was partially masked, by what, she wasn't sure. She counted five all together. Maybe six. She was still half a block from Aero's front door and she wasn't entirely sure she could count on him for back-up. The thought that maybe she should have brought back-up occurred to her, but she was Ulfric of San Francisco and she was not afraid to walk around her city. Her assailants weren't very stealthy as they launched themselves at her. Leighton easily moved out of the way of the first attacker, but there were more of them then her and they easily circled her. Any thoughts of Areo left her head as she focused on the larger problem at hand.
Before she could do or say anything, two of them struck, and as she dodged one of them, the other's claws dug into her shoulder. Letting out a growl of pain, Leighton didn't hesitate as she pulled out her silver switch blades, slashing the closest assailants throat in one smooth movement, before she was attacked by the others circling. Slashing and cutting through the lycans, as she kicked them away, trying to dislodge as many as she could to make this as fair as possible. But there were too many of them. As one jumped on her back, sinking teeth into her already injured shoulder, she let out a howl of pain and gritted her teeth as she used her other knife, sinking it the rat's belly and pulled it across his abdomen, to disembowel him. he released his hold on her shoulder and fell to the ground, twitching. Two down. Five more to go, she thought as she continued trying to fight them off, as two more joined the fray, even as she realized, she might lose.
