"Of course," she echoed, finally looking up at him. "For the pool." Her aquamarine eyes held his grey ones for a moment too long giving away that she was entertaining the idea. Leighton set the pace of their walk, which wasn't too far to their northern border. As they walked, she filled him in on the details.
"So there's a gang of vamps who have taken up residence in a warehouse a block over from our territory, in the Neutral territory." She glanced over her shoulder as they walked quickly down an alley way. Turning back to him, she continued. "They tried to attack Leslie when she was walking home from the hospital last night. She managed to escape, obviously, since you saw her at breakfast." After she said that, she remembered who she was talking to.
"Nevermind, we both know you weren't at breakfast. You always miss breakfast." She was teasing him, but it let him know she noticed that he wasn't there. "There should be three of the leeches from what she said. And with Kane dealing with the human gang at this moment, that leaves you and me to deal with them." She grinned at him.
"Think you can handle one bloodsucker while I take out the other two?"
