The End of an Era; Hideki, Gendo, & Marcus Lombardi.
Gendo watched with some curiosity, and also a little admiringly at Hideki as he pulled out the electronics. Certainly, things like this weren't that easy to get, even for guys like them, so he was was impressed that Hideki had them. It would make their job a lot easier. After a moment, watching Hideki put his on, he followed suit; it, too, was not very visible under the mop of his hair, though there probably was less worry about him being caught. He then checked his own watch to make sure it was more or less in sync, nodding, since it seemed he had just past noon, too. He stood, letting Hideki take the case and lead the way down the hall until they were in a good spot for him to wait. He considered the gloom of the room, for the first time, feeling a bit of the weight about what they were planning. Before, it had been nerves, but now... his stomach felt a little heavy.
It didn't entirely help that Hideki was, as he generally did with these kinds of serious things, getting all serious at him. He would have been surprised if it wasn't said, and probably, it was almost like a ritual to him; if Hideki didn't say it, it would feel like bad luck or something. Still, he rolled his eyes a little as Hideki reminded him of the protocol should things fail. "Just don't get caught," he muttered, shaking his head, and running a hand through his hair. "Or I won't bail you out," he replied, mouth twitching a little to the side, but not quite making the smile he'd hoped for. "Don't worry about me, anyway," he remarked after a moment.
