From the corner of her eye as she ranted, she could see movement; Hideki coming closer. Her muscles tensed and Maiyuki prepared to shy away of he got too close, but before she had the chance, his words hit home. Crazy? He was calling her crazy? Bitch she could understand, and agree with. But before the words could even form in her head to shoot back, he was in her personal space, alarmingly fast.
"N-!" was all she could muster to say before his arm was at her waist, and his lips forced hers to cease movement. Good god, a complete stranger - well, not quite a stranger, but close enough - was kissing her. If she was at risk for a heart attack, now would be the time it'd strike. But as Hideki broke contact and backed away, Maiyuki's thoughts were in disarray. She couldn't even think of a simple name to call him. If that was simply to make her shut up, job well done, Hideki.
Taking a stumbling step back, an empty look passed over Maiyuki's face as she realized that a guy had just touched her; one she didn't know, didn't trust, and wasn't amused with at the moment. But instead of shooting down his request, the dazed girl slowly turned her shellshocked gaze to him and merely nodded in response. "Sure..." she said softly to his suggestion. At that moment, she'd probably agree to anything, really.
But as the guys began to walk away, Mai had a sudden aching sensation in her chest, and as she glanced over at Keichi, their gaze met and she was forced to look away first. He was furious, and hurt, and it was her fault. Suddenly, calling him selfish no longer applied; nor did calling him insensitive. They applied to her now, and she actually felt guilty. Was it safe to let Hideki go with him while he was in that mood?
"What wound..? she idly asked as the distance between the people grew. She wasn't expecting an answer, simply asked for the fact she heard the word in there. 'Note to self; ask later'. But since they'd probably take a while, and she didn't want to be near Keichi when he came out, Mai grabbed her cellphone and shot a text to a friend with a nearby intersection address. She'd go with her friend instead, let Keichi cool off, and maybe this would all blow over. With that, she turned from the building and, still in her daze, walked off in the direction of the intersecting streets down the road, where her friend would be waiting shortly.
