At Hideki's reaction, and noting Maiyuki's total displeasure, indeed the moment seemed like it could be cut with a knife. It was that thick with Maiyuki's anger, and Kei's tension. He tried everything he could for Maiyuki, and now, she was acting the part of the spoiled brat, as per usual. Letting out a sigh and shaking his head with a glance to Hideki, he groaned and rolled his head, shutting the car door. Whether or not Maiyuki followed was of her own voulution.
Glancing towards her as Hideki blocked their way, Kei's eyes rolled up to the sky. Kami, please...."Hideki, you're family, come on, I'm not letting you walk like this, think on that."
Glancing back to Maiyuki, he sighed and closed his eyes, a look of defeat on his features as he walked to the entrance of the building while shaking his head. Of anyone to lose, he didn't want to lose Maiyuki. Fine, she didn't have to date him again, but he didn't want to lose her friendship.
Calmly walking away from them, he went inside the building, not uttering another word, and he was going to fix up Hideki whether he liked it or not. Hell, it's a part of the job.
