Standing behind Maiyuki as she was standing beside his car, Keichi was getting nervous when it took time for Hideki to answer his damned phone. Tapping his fingers on his upper thigh, the phone was finally answered, and his brows raised, opening his eyes a bit wider.
"Hideki-sama. . .baka da!" the last bit pronunciated hard and with anger, he stopped himself, as when he said his boss' name, it was calm and collected. "Doushite? Nnnh. .why? Why did you do that without me? Look at everything that came of this already! You know I could have been the sting." He kept his wording very cautious, save that any police were tapping phones. "Where are you? And when do I pick you up?"
He took a deep breath, listening in on the other end, hearing the woman in the kitchen, which was apparently stirring something, and footsteps of a child. "Nevermind. I know. When? Name the time." He sighed heavily, as this was supposed to be a date of sorts, and he didn't want to screw it up. He'd known Maiyuki for so long, and to get this close, he didn't want to put this to a halt.
As he spoke, a helicopter hovered overhead and ahead of them further down the street, as two more police cars swerved in and towards the scene. Damn, this was as far from an undercover operation as it could have been. It got messy. "You know who'll be blamed." he whispered into the phone, waiting for Hideki to chew his ass out for being the worried and too-cautious Keichi that he was.
