"Tawtutes? Is that the same as Tau'ri?" McKay frowned at the word. Why couldn't everyone just use English all that time? Was that so hard to ask?
"That makes no sense." McKay reholstered his gun, far more efficiently than he had drawn it. He then reached for something, frowned when whatever it was seemingly wasn't in the pocket it was supposed to be before an 'Aha!' left him and he grabbed the life sign's detector off of the floor. As his hand made contact the device lit up and the Canadian's focus switched to the display.
"If trees were disintegrated than that would mean the gate hadn't been activated in a while. But P3X-722 has an active gate that Teyla said was a known trading destination." Gaze still on the device, McKay headed back towards the 'gate' site, completely ignoring Jake. "She also said it wasn't far from the village."
