Nigel's fingers tapped against the glass counter tap, in a rushed fashion, the noise resignating in a fury of thunder and clash. It was in this motion or tapping his foot, or doing another quirky thing that kept his attention on reading. His attention spand was ever fast and moving, and with the noise it helped sooth his need to switch to doing another thing. After all, at that time he was doing more things than one.
Nigel loved the gossip magazines. Often than not, he was in them himself. He just enjoyed reading the twisted and completely blatant lie stories, that he and others that knew him, knew they were completely falsified, and contained so much unfactual information. He fed off of this, and enjoyed wrapping his mind around the way other's were thinking. Did they actually believe this crock or not!? It was an article about himself dating a X-Kiddo socialite, that threw him off guard. Nigel, a firm believer that he is pretty much better than a relationship, scoffed out loud in the room, looking up only a few times to see who came into the shop. This stuff needed to be on television, the lies and plots being so good.
He kept his eyes out for people he knew, especially by word of mouth, or through family in the magazines. The darkholme/wagner/drake clan was all one big drama plot, and he was fascinated with it, really. He had a few choice words for Mystique as well, if he saw her. Perhaps something about getting her tubes tied, and ball sack, too. Maybe there is a surgery for shapeshifters for that. He didn't know, and really, he didn't care. What he did notice was just how many people she was related to. " Almost as bad as the scott and emma clan! " He said outloud, however at a low whisper.
Noticing his coffee was done, he halted all distractions and articles, in order to get his freshly brewed latte.
