WHO: Fred Barnes and Open WHAT: Training. Sort of. WHERE: Simulator, SHIELD Hellicarrier. WHEN: Evening WARNINGS/RATINGS: Fairly low. STATUS: Open/incomplete
Fred liked afternoons when no one else had signed up for the training simulator. It meant that she could have the whole thing to herself for at least a solid hour or two, and do what she pleased. And while normally, Fred strictly used the simulator for professional reasons, today's "session", if you wanted to call it that, was slightly less professional. Instead of bringing her Widow's Bites, guns, and other gear, Fred only brought her pointe shoes and wore her leotard instead of her uniform. Instead of a battlefield or the basic robots, Fred had turned the simulator into her own personal ballet studio. Considering as the Hellicarrier didn't have one on board, she had to make her own whenever she did these sorts of "training exercises".
Technically, she was training her reflexes and flexibility. That's what she told anyone who ever questioned her. But really, ballet was Fred's way of unwinding, and just relaxing. She liked it. Ballet came as naturally as fighting to her, and was her preferred stress reliever. Or just a way to focus on something that wasn't work related. She'd been working on a routine set to a song from a tv show that she'd gotten into recently. Normally, Fred really wasn't one to watch cartoons, but she liked the plot and the characters, and the music was really good. Plus, it was the perfect song to choreograph a routine to. It flowed naturally, and her movements came as natural as breathing.
Fred allowed herself to become fully absorbed in what she was doing, not really paying attention to if anyone was watching her or not.
