Honestly, a lot of Rook was sorry he'd even asked about the jacket. All he'd wanted to know was where he'd left it because he couldn't remember exactly the last time he'd seen it. But of course Terence had to do what he did best and start playing games and flirting and being so utterly himself. Alright, and maybe He didn't show up at Terence's door with the intention to pick a fight, and he didn't actually want to stay mad at him, but he knew he needed to say something, for himself or for anyone who might have in the past or future the same issue. Maybe the other man didn't know what he was doing, or didn't know that his actions didn't always line up with his words and that it could be a difficult space to navigate. That was probably naivete on his part, but the part of him that couldn't quit Terence needed to give him the benefit of the doubt. He sent the last text, suggesting that he didn't want the flirting and the trying when he could just say what he wanted, as he was walking up to Terence's door, put his phone away, and knocked. |
