There's nothing quite like opening your entire house to the heat in order to vent the smell of paint. Warm though it may be, though, the painting is all finished at this point. I owe a lot of thanks to the undergraduates who signed on to help – it all looks very lovely.

And for today's proof that I'm getting old, I'm actually rather tired of shopping. Even with assistants, who are delightful and tireless young ladies, it's been exhausting.
